I am touched by your writing. I relate well to much of this. It speaks of a life rich with loving and being loved.
The man married for 52 years- and interested in you- both of those factors speak very well of him. Sounds like top of the line character.
Perhaps your arms have some holding time left. I would vote to find out.
At least a hug in person is very good thanks for special friendship.
Doesn't sound to me like this would spoil.
I do ponder whether there is room in my comfort zone for 2. If you were to find him to be "in the zone"...there you go.
