As Catholics, we believe in the power of intercessory prayer. If you’re going through a dufficult period and ask a friend to pray for you, that doesn’t make your friend an intermediary or gate keeper for God. In the same way, prayer to the saints is intercessory prayer. I don’t know of anyone who prays to idols.
What puzzles me is that if fundamentalism is as fulfilling to you as you like to pretend, why do you need to bash our faith?

It just blows me away how the Catholic church has duped the people into so much hogwash. The Bible states clearly that we are welcome to come before the Throne of Grace BOLDLY as a child comes to his good father and asks him something or for something. This, God relishes.

Why on earth would anyone choose to pray to someone other than our Almighty Father? Raised as a Catholic, we prayed thru many Saints and I couldn't understand that, even as a child... so when I became a Christian, it was as if that light turned on....and I knew He had spoken to me long, long ago....so...He is who I follow, and there is no question about it...no doubt...no anything! Perhaps man, on the life road has taken the wrong turn and he's getting more and more far away from the good end.
