To those that are not willing to object and protest we owe our current state of this Union. I of course intend that those objections and protests shall be civil and purposeful. Too many Americans have been sitting on their proverbial hands and done NOTHING!, for too long. The onset of the Clinton era saw a marked decline in American politics. Now, we have approximately 543 individuals in this great nation that control every aspect of our lives. The United States Congress, the Supreme Court and the President and Vice-President. We can control the individuals in those positions through our responsibilities as the "Electorate" of America. And at this point I believe we have to replace everyone of those elected officials as they come up for re-election. Two of those that have done absolutely nothing in their current roles as United States senators are running for the office of the President. That in itself is most troubling. For neither have shown any characteristics different from those they will replace. They did nothing for America as senators and plan to nothing more as president regardless of all of the political hype and rhetoric. Write a letter to your Congressmen telling them of your absolute disgust with their performance as stewards of the Constitution and the taxpayers money. E-mail, FAX, phone your leaders in Washington, DC each time your are concerned with the way they may vote or have voted on an issue. United we can make the difference that pulls our great nation out of the mess the politicians have skillfully guided it into. The Supreme Court's recent attempt to write the laws of the nation rather than give the interpretation is outrageous. Congress is responsible for making the laws, not the Courts. I spend an average of ten hours a week contacting Congress, the President's office and other politicians to voice my opinion and stand up for the rights of citizens, as a taxpayer and member of the electorate. I know of many times recently when there have been enough of us doing this to stop, Congress from passing covert legislative matters that would have been detrimental to the legal, taxpaying citizens of America. You too must help. This requires everyone's actions. JMW

Harvard or anywhere else, doesn't produce leaders, just managers,
leadership needs not just knowing how, but the courage, vision and conviction to implement, damn the topedos or Fox news! A much needed message today, thanks Micke!

Excellent! Getting outraged is easy. Being able to circumnavigate the laws now in place, to voice an opinion, finding anyone who cares anymore, finding the finances to implement a strategy, is getting more and more difficult - especially down here in Southern California.

America, the youngest and most powerful Nation on the Earth, seems to be dying; either that or it is morphing into something it was never intended to be..

You would NOT believe what's going on down here! It's becoming more like being incarcerated than living in the land of the free. It's why my wife and me are seriously considering moving to Southern Oregon.

These are times that cry out for leadership.

But when you look around, you've got to ask: 'Where have all the leaders gone?'

And you have to ask, 'Where the hell is all the outrage?'

Questions that I sadly ask myself, just about every day now.

We have truly become an apathetic nation, with far too many apathetic leaders.
