Alas. Beware, Kathy! Many years ago I was given a couple of letters to drop off at the post office for the company I worked for. I wasn’t aware of it, but it was mail have been returned to us for bad addresses. There were no visible cancellation marks on the stamps or any marks whatsoever on the envelopes. I learned later that the return to sender stamps were covered by the new address labels. Low and behold…The postal clerk looked at them and said, “These stamps are concealed…this mail has already been processed. Then I was informed that the penalty for this was a $10,000.00 fine or ten years in jail or both. I professed my ignorance of the circumstance and luckily they gave me the pieces back and I was just told to inform my boss…Next time he’s going jail. Take my word for it….It ain’t worth the 87 cents,
