A majority of American voters seem to want to keep their guns? If this was not so, would it not be a simple matter to change the law? Or is this over-simplifying?

Guns don't kill people? The same day as we lost 26 in a CT school, a maniac with a knife assaulted a Chinese classroom. He stabbed and slashed 22 children and their teacher before he was apprehended. Twenty six died from gunshot wounds, often multiple. Of the twenty three stabbed, none died. Conclusion - People with guns kill people.
