I grew up on country music. My father was in a band. They covered songs by all the great bands back then - Alabama, The Oakridge Boys. Great blog.

Lets see, Country? who toss my salad? Fist and the only one on top, the Man in Black that walked the line, then, the girl that told the girls to stay with their man, and choo-choo traveling will be a blast if Kenny R. would tell you about a gambler, and last but no lest that 9 to 5 petite mamma that when she purrs in your hear about always loving you...you will feel two sizes bigger than Kevin Costner!

I love country music, too, but the traditional (i.e., Loretta Lynn, Little Jimmy Dickens, George Jones [and Strait!], Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie, Collin Raye, Randy Travis, Josh Turner, etc.) is more my speed. The majority of the new country just doesn't cut it with me: they're all gorgeous, skinny, and one sounds like the other. As for the bands, forgeddaboudit! They're no Alabama or Oak Ridge Boys; they're NOT country; they're ROCK! Give me the old timers anyday!!!!
