"Losing My Religion"

Religion served its purpose in my life between the ages of 11 and 16. It introduced me to the 10 commandments and the power of ritual. Though I never outgrew that sense of ritual, I have not found it to be an important part of my life either. For those who need or love it, I can understand.

Though I don't spend the time with the scriptures I once did. I still hold them in reverence and awe, referencing and quoting from time to time. There is great wisdom to be gained with them and I have absorbed enough to be well served if less than perfect in my execution of that wisdom. Thanks Rockie for calling my attention to this essay. I enjoyed it. Have my doubts about science for sale as well.

I believe religion is a personal thing. We all choose what to believe in following what our hearts and soul tell us.
