Who knows how long it will take to unify the world as the dollar bill says, E Pluribus Unum, out of many one. I watch with beady-eyed fascination as the the world fights itself to a bloody pulp to keep that from happening.
I have abandoned man's religion. I have not abandoned God. Every time I have a doubt, GOD erases it by his loving presence and grace. Maybe I will have as much faith as the atheists one day in what they don't believe. Until then I will keep reading my Bible and my science books at the same time. Why the stares? You don't use the phone book as a science book do you? Neither is the Bible intended as a science book, it just gives us the name and number of the author of scientific truth, so we can call him up sometime and get in touch. The well-source of knowledge is available, he just expects you to take advantage of the brain he gave you first and study, and learn to think for yourself. Then the truth will be self-evident.
Stop fighting it and your first next steps in this lifetime will carry you far. Jesus told his disciples before departing to be with the Heavenly Father,
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NIV
Stop fighting and start loving. It takes a lot less energy and gets more done.
