In my slumber my wisdom and youth passed each other in the night, and like old friends meeting for the last time, gave each other a sad goodbye for ever. Parting is such sweet sorrow!
Forever is a long time and I think I shall be happy with only today, for it is true that tomorrow never comes. Time machines are the memories in our minds and the imaginations of hearts, for all our yesterdays and tomorrows rest therein. In this way we will always remold our realities to suit us. What a grand gift!
Be blessed all my dear ones, and never forget to seize the day. It is such a precious commodity, for so few of them actually come our way; it would be a shame to waste a single one of them.
Growing old is not so bad, as long we can enjoy the journey together. For this I am thankful you have visited me here today.
Please leave me a bit of wisdom here on my special day, so I may treasure it in my ages to come.
