Starman - A Mad Scientist 's message 3/13/2009 6:39:17 PM
Starman's news of his latest exploits, told via his long-time friend, mathematical genius and trusted confidant in this life's struggle, Albert.
Hi Friends:
Starman said "Thanks for all of the support you have been giving him around the Den."
I, Albert, his mathematical friend and lab assistant, am writing this for him while he is building a strange looking contraption of some sort or another. I eyed it out suspiciously till he spied me looking and ran me out of the lab like a fire-breathing dragon! Apparently, Starman needs all the prayer and love he can get. Gotta him away from here for awhile. Where does a mad scientist vacation these days anyway?
He sent out a message awhile ago about not being in the Den for awhile. He have just decided to put the "It Happened on a Quiet Cul-de-sac" short story series on the back burner till getting more time to devote to re-writes of it. So he deleted it from the Den till then. You can still go to Charlie's Den if you want to read more of the first draft, but he is not advertising that fact. He has some great ideas for the story, but not the time to devote to it at the present time. You know how that sort of thing goes I am sure of that!
He wanted to quit while he was ahead and on a positive note in the Den. He posted somethings there recently that got very good reviews, (thanks for that, Carol, Georg, Pizzaman, J'nia, Paul, Michelle, Tabitha, Karen and all his blessed friends and trackers, he says!), so he will leave it at that for now. This is the perfect time for that mad scientist take a break from his writing to catch up on things around the mad scientist lair/cave, here in Georgia.
Bridget is waking up. Time to fix her medicine. did you see her pic on his Den Page? She is going to kill him when she finds out! Hee Hee (So there Cryssa, that one was for you! Say hi to our friend Charlie for us, and to hurry back we miss her! Karen Lynn Vidra says to tell Charlie "Howdy, howdy, howdy!!!")
There are many projects needing to be worked on and this is part of the reason for Starman's break. So he won't be reviewing or posting much if at all for awhile. He just wanted to let you know he will keep you in his prayers. Looks like Eli's Brain, poem revised, is the last of it for awhile!
Starman is ready for a well deserved break, to recharge his writing batteries.
Uh oh...Now what is that mad fool scientist up to now, with the lightning bolts and green mist aswirling in that lab of his, some of which just escaped from under the door and climbed the wall before disappearing clean through it? He needs serious help. Thinks he is Tesla or something incarnate. Boy have I heard it all. Still, what would that absent minded crazy baby Einstein looking dude do without me, or all of us keeping him going for that matter? He is one blessed crazy man, and man does he know it!
I hear Starman, before locking the door to the lab at night, saying a prayer for all of those Author's Den freaks, as I Albert calls 'em. Sheesh, does he ever give them folks a break? I feel sorry for 'em, but sometimes he makes me laugh with some of the stories he reads me from them. Who the heck is Edvard the Elder anyway? Is that some Viking come back to teach us all a lesson? Anyway, I heard about him and those blasted Texas Twins that were some of the most Machiavellian of them to watch out for in the Den. Sounds like quite a rouge's gallery there! Someone should write a story about them rascals or something!
Got to go, Starman, look-out...Yikes, here we go again!
