Sorry to hear you are still sick, Linda. You have been on my mind of late but I have been so busy that I haven't had the time to check in on anyone at AD. Sorry to hear about the diabetes... I am sure that you will be able to manage it.
Hope you feel better soon!
Hugs and Love,
Cryssa
Hi Linda,
I love sales! Flea markets thrive here in our place and people just love buying all sorts of items, the bonus is you enjoy doing it and meeting other people too.
Very nice blog and really fun idea!

Linda, Enjoyed your blog. Sounds like your sale turned out to be a fun-event, and a money-maker too. Can't beat that. Have a Great Day!

Does Joe have purple hair or something? Great blog, this is. It's great to clean out our homes and get rid of stuff (baggage). And there are many needy people out there. I love yard sales, patio, garage, you name it. Join the crowd. Many of us are diabetics. You get accustomed. Here's a delicious way to make applesauce (for us): Peel and cut up into little chunks crab or any ordinary apples. Put them in the pot with a little water and boil. As they start getting soft, add a generous amount of cinnamon powder. Stir and then, with a potato masher, mash them up. They're cooking on simmer at this time. When you're satisfied that they're all mashed and just right (having added more water if you needed it), take them off the burner and add Splenda or some such sweetner. Delicious hot or cold for a snack anytime. :)

You are a fighter...a survivor and very funny! You had an adventure with your patio sale, the sign on Joe, and Linda..the next time you give away furniture, let me know! Glad to hear from you and many happy days ahead for you!!!
Dear Linda, Diabetis isn't a good thing but it is very managable if you eat properly and get some sort of exercise. There are eight children in our family, five are Diabetic along with both parents and that includes me. I have lost over 50 lbs. since I found out I was just by eating properly, NO DIET just eat smart. I walk everyday and my best friend has become the Threadmill.
As for your patio sale, you did well but I am another who would just give it all away.
I wish you luck for the book signing. That would be great for sure. Well we are still painting etc. and I am hoping to have this house ready to put up for sale by the weekend. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Linda I do hope you feel much better and remember that Diabetis is managable. have a wonderful day.
newfie Hugs, Rose
Linda, I am tired just reading about your Day, how do you do it LOL? I'll be praying for your health...
God Bless
Michelle~
Linda, I am tired just reading about your day--how sad to sell all that great stuff for next to nothing!! I do like buying at those sales though, lol. and you found yet another marketing ploy!! Btw, an you send me the link for booksurge--I think I am on it but can't find my link. Feel better--take lots of vitamin C ans echinacea would help too--capsule or in teas.
Love, Micki
Heeeheee!!! It seems to me even though you had a busy day, but you really had your fun there.
Yard sale and garage sale are sometimes addictive. I used to drag everything out of my house so I could have something to sell. I sold away my hubby's brand new jacket for $4.00 and then realized how silly I was but was too late for that. Couldn't take that back from the person who bought it.
Then when I ran out of things to sell, I went to the cheap stores to BUY something so I could have something to sell for the following week!!! Can you believe I did that? Hahaha!!!
My friend Anna used to buy clothes in smaller sizes so that would inspire herself to lose weight to fit into them, but then she never could lose her weight!!! She eventually sold me the new clothes, still with the price tags on them, for a few dollars a piece!!
It was so crazy!!! But we did have so much fun!!!!

Thanks Fee...everything but the "diet"part was okay!!! I'm ALLERGIC TO DIET... SO...guess I'll have to convince myself that I don't like alot of what I'm used to eating...hehe... Actually...it's not food that gets me..I'm addicted to cola...so...I've been trying to lay off..as I think...think..that may have alot to do with the sugar...and...the infections??? Anyway... will sure try to not be a slave to this thing! Glad you are hanging in with it too.. hugs, lindalaw
Sounds like you had a lot of fun and a great sale. As for the diabetes, I have had it for about five years and with meds, exercise and diet you should do great.
hugs
