Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I've had book signings every weekend and spend the evenings preparing for them as well as working on publicity on the internet. I've just posted my site with the announcement of my newest recipe.
Pigs in a Blanket
Use the cocktail sausages for your meat. You are in luck with the breading. Pillsbury just came out with a new flat crescent roll. It's in the section with canned biscuits and is wonderful. It's one big flat sheet, after you roll it out. Roll it on a sheet of waxed paper so it won't stick to your cutting board. Take one of your little sausages to measure with. Lay it on the roll and using a knife, cut a strip that is just a little smaller in length than your sausage. You want the ends to show just a little. After you have cut your long strips, lay your little sausage back down and wrap it with the dough. When it gets fully covered, cut the dough. Using your fingers, crimp the ends together enclosing your little sausage. Bake it at 350 degrees or until the bread part is done. This temperature is a little lower than what the package calls for but it assures you that both bread and sausage will be cooked completely. I know this sounds like a lot but it really isn't. Once you do one sausage you can zip through the rest. This dough will give you flaky bread. If you want a really pretty crust, just before you take them out of the oven, brush them with a little melted butter. Or sprinkle them with a little shredded cheese. You can do this. I have faith in you.

Martha... how about if you post your website link once again? I will put it on favorites and use it again..even tho I sure struggle cooking. These Spinach balls sound easy and yummy.. I was also wondering if you have a simple recipe for "Pigs in the blanket"... I made them in Home Ec class a million yrs ago, and they were so good, easy but like I said...no whiz in the kitchen here...and I just never remembered the silly recipe.. These were little sausages rolled inside piecrusts I think, and baked but can't recall the "kind" of sausages, nor for sure about the crusts etc.. I did try before but the sausages didn't cook and the pastry ended up like fat biscuits...not flakey.. Help! Sometimes I go to the net for recipes (Martha, RAchel, Contessa, Paula etc) but... usually I just don't even bother... hehe... Hope your book and site is doing well..:-) lindalaw
