OEA Legislature passed a lesser bill Strike went anyway Fund our classrooms April 2nd 30,000 teachers stormed the Capitol Many Are not in the union. Steel workers refused to cross the pick line. Solidarity 3 Days another 45 million dollars Raises for certified teachers 500 million dollars in education funding Power to make change is Historic revenue raising Who gets it! Together we can accomplish anything. Michelle is a teacher from Louisville. Jefferson school District is the most integrated school in America. Black lives matter. Black lives matter! Jefferson county school District most integrated KY Her story Liar insensitive arrogant Leadership in KY. Educators termed self short sighted for protesting pension reform bill. Teachers called Educated but uninformed. Most integrated 100 languages! 65,000 students bused daily Unwavering A pension is a promise! Overall attack on public schools Fired has died. There is a Lack of diversity in teachers leadership. Gang bill criminal penalties gang member level of proof needed 3 our of 4 youth adjudicated are black. Why is it important to work together for the long haul? What community is it? It is other educators. Fight injustice All of us AZ teachers have a common cause. Differences divide Brother and Sister in the South we have to fight. Fight for students Fight with our ballot School board meetings and PTA meetings Fight the power of oppression.
