Details:	2016 Library (3-Part Series) Presentations Presentation Series: Learn How to Advance Your Career through Enhanced Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities Presenter: Sharon L. Burton, DBA-QSM, MBA, LSSBB, HCS, SWP Dates: April 9th, 16th, and 23rd, 2016 Timeframe: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM Cost: Free Registration by Calling 302-838-3300 (the Library) Location: New Castle County Bear Library, 101 Governors Pl, Bear, DE 19701 (Located in the shopping center with Kmart) Part 1 (April 9th): Understanding Your Position and Your Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities. This working session walks through how to understand your position, and your current knowledge, skills, and capabilities. The session reviews how these skills affect advancement. Be prepared to document information that will support your success. Part 2 (April 16th): Cross-referencing Your Current Skills to Required skills for advancement, a working session. Part two (2) will cover how to cross-reference your current skills with skills needed to advance your cause. Additionally, participants will receive guidance to think outside the box for skill development. Be prepared to document information that will support your success. Part 3 (April 23th): Comprehending the Need for Mentorship and Coaching for Advancement. Part three (3) will walk through the understanding of mentors and coaches. Participants will learn how to attain a mentor and/or coach, and how many of each category are needed. Further, participants will learn their rolls in the mentoring/coaching relationship.
