In “Crystal of My Heart,” the heroine Careen wakes up in the mud on the side of a road and finds that her entire world has changed. Bewildered by the absence of electricity, cars, telephones, or anything from her modern world, she searches for someone who can help her. She’s befriended by the Dryden family and they discover that she’s been transported from a parallel dimension by a set of mystifying crystals. While seeking for a way to send her home, they uncover a group of fanatics—who call themselves Guardians—that want to destroy not only the crystals that transported her, but also anything and anyone that know about the crystals and what they can do. It’s a rollercoaster ride with some very interesting twists that you won’t expect. The love story between Careen and Conner Dryden is quite engaging and will make you laugh in places and cry in others. So if you enjoy drama, mystery, suspense, romance, and humor, then you’ll really enjoy this audiobook.
