Martha Hamlett spent Friday, March 5th, at Moneta Elementary in Moneta, VA where she read to the Preschool through 5th grade students. She received rave reviews from the teachers and students.
Martha Hamlett was the highlight of our Read Across America Week festivities. She read her book to each grade level from the 4 year old program to the 5th grade. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm and interest generated by her visit. Students and teachers were similarly fascinated by her presentation. Several children voiced their approval of "Bats in the Air, Bats in My Hair" in simple, yet eloquent terms, "Read it again!" And, that's just what we hope she'll do. Come again!
