Gail Cavanaugh who has been teaching piano for the last ten years, is writing a book in order to fund a new music school.
The book, Beyond My Imagination, is based on her exeriences in teaching piano at local community centers and after school programs. While teaching piano, she met many students from diverse socio-econmic backgrounds who had varying degrees of talent. Her desire is to give other children an opportunity to deveop their talents as well as acquire skills which will help them to perform better on standardized tests, to develop better reading and math skillls, and to develop their characters.
The book is due to be published in June and Gail is seeking funding to publish the book first.
