I am priveleged to be working with the Office of Head Start, The Office of Child Care and Zero to three on a national project to implement Early Head Start standards into family child care environments and raise the awareness of high-quality family child care as a valid option for families of young children needing childcare. 

The "laboratory" is in the only one in AL and is housed through Community Action Partnership of North AL (with Anita Humphrey and her EHS/HS team).  We have just held two stakeholders' meetings to work with the community of individuals and organizations and I believe this project will positively impact the quality of early childhood care across the city, counties and the state as we help educators and families understand the importance of those early hears.
