After working a bit in a studio here in Nashville over a 5 year period, I began to notice patterns. Patterns of success and patterns of failures. That prompted me to reach back into my childhood. As most of you know, I was raised by a band, grew up on the road, started writing at 8, marketing for the band at 11, went to 24 different schools before I graduated high school and music was my life until I left home at 18 wanting nothing to do with music. However, I did not realize that the education I received during those 18 years was invaluable. In their own right, my mother's band was a success and very sought after in the 70/80's. They never became stars but neither did they ever pursue that. When I married the two together, my childhood music education with the work I was involved with in the studio, it all clicked and I just had to get some things off of my chest.
