Have you ever wondered about the scents that your characters smell in the story locations they're in?
I've discovered a company that creates candles for books. How amazing is that? After contacting Book Scents, I sent her my book, Never Surrender, to read and she sent me four candle samples of what she thought would pull readers into the story more. She's been successful creating special book scents and readers love them.
Never Surrender is a Native American romance that takes place in the mountains of NW Wyoming among the pine trees and sagebrush. As I was enjoying the first sample, I could easily imagine setting in the forest among the pines. A faint smell of leather and smoke came through, also. The second sample had a stronger leather scent with a faint leather aroma and story scenes came back to me as I enjoyed the smell throughout the house.
I have two more samples to test, but I wanted you to know that the Surrender Series will soon have it's own candle at Book Scents.
