Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey to Give Inaugural Reading As U.S. Poet Laureate, The reading, which will open the Library’s 2012-2013 literary season and kick off the 75th anniversary of the Poetry and Literature Center, will start at 7 p.m., in the Coolidge Auditorium on the ground floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First St. S.E., Washington, D.C. Natasha Trethewey, is a poet-historian who gives voice to the forgotten with clarity and beauty .The reading is free and open to the public, and a book-signing and reception will follow. September 19, Concord – The Poetry Society of NH is pleased to sponsor a dynamic double feature at Gibson’s Bookstore, 27 South Main St. (next door to the Red River Cinema ), Concord, NH! The features are two NH poets, Robert Crawford and Kyle Potvin. The reading starts at 7pm. Mr. Crawford and Ms Potvin will read first and then there will be an Open Mic afterwards. Everyone is invited. Newcomers are encouraged. Parking: we highly recommend the parking garage right behind the bookstore and cinema.
