Bull Feeney’s 375 Fore St. 7-10pm / All Ages/ $3-$5 Suggested Donation The Thinking Heart: The Life & Loves of Etty Hillesum w/ Martin Steingesser This performance is one in a series of benefits to help The Thinking Heart Ensemble on a mission to return the voice of the hero and writer Etty Hillesum to where it was taken at Auschwitz-Birkenau. There will also be a performance in Belgium, where the Ensemble has been invited to perform at the International Etty Hillesum Congress, celebrating the 100th anniversary of her birth this January. The Casco Bay Tummlers, based in Portland, Maine, have been performing klezmer music since 1988, have also toured in Germany where they performed to sold-out houses at the Hackesches Hof Theater in Berlin and at the ninth annual Festival of Jewish Culture in Chemnitz. Wasted
That cold winter evening
