PublishAmerica has just released longtime West Kendall resident Charles Blazek's new novel Passages, a science-fiction work based on New Age philosophies and the search for spiritual advancement.
An experienced writer and editor, Blazek has been published in national magazines and local newspapers.
He has also written for public relations firms specializing in the travel industry.
Passages is his first published book.
Blazek served under former Gov. Lawton Chiles running the Governor's South Dade Recovery Office until 1995, when he was asked to return to Hialeah Gardens as that city's administrator and city clerk.
He has also served as clerk of the board for the now-defunct Miami-Dade Fire Board and is presently a member of the West Kendall Municipal Advisory Committee.
