Beware of people who maintain that "a watched pot never boils". They suffer from a major character flaw. Namely, a lack of patience.
Of course a watched pot boils. I've seen it happen many, many times. No doubt there have been many, many better things I could have & should have been doing at the time. But, let's nevermind about that.
