Linda Lange will bring her award-winning memoir, Incomplete Passes: Reflections on Life, Love, and Football, to Artstreet in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lange is one of about a dozen authors with area ties appearing at the downtown arts festival. They are scheduled to sign their books at Bosse’s News & Tobacco, 220 Cherry Street, August 25 and 26, between approximately 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day.
Incomplete Passes earned Finalist honors in the 2012 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, announced in May. In its fifth year of operation, the Next Generation Indie Book Awards is the largest not-for-profit book awards program for indie authors and independent publishers. It is presented by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group in cooperation with Marilyn Allen of Allen O'Shea Literary Agency.
In Incomplete Passes, Lange writes of growing up as an infatuated young fan of the Green Bay Packers, and of a fifty-year friendship that started In Green Bay.
Some of the other authors participating in the festival include John Maino, an on-air personality at WIXX and WNFL radio who has written three books about World War II, Dr. James Hurly and Thomas Murphy, who wrote Green Bay: A City and Its Team, and Mike Dauplaise, whose true-crime offering is Torture at the Back Forty.
The Artstreet festival, now in its thirty-first year, is presented by Arts Events Incorporated.
