Kay Kellam will be signing books at the Pink Ribbon Crusade... a Date with Diana in Austin Texas May 26, 2001 -- with proceeds from the sale of her book going to the Pink Ribbons Crusade for use in their fight against Breast Cancer.

Kay is always happy to support a worthy cause, and having seen friends go through the experience of Breast Cancer she is happy to donate the proceeds from the sale of her book at this event to the very worthy cause.
One of Princess Diana's greatest gifts to the world was her ability to draw our attention to things me might not want or like to see, but things that once we opened our eyes to them we could begin to do something about.
We may not want to see Cancer, we certainly don't want to have it -- but until we open our eyes and begin looking into the problem, researching it, and searching for early warning signs to treat it while there are still options, people will continue to suffer more than required.
"One of the people I knew happened to know another mutual friend who had Breast Cancer at the same basic time as her," Kellam said, "it was so ironic hearing her say she had a kinder gentler ordeal, but she had caught it that much earlier, and we were all grateful. It seems to me that's what the Pink Ribbons Crusade is about -- getting mammograms for those who need it with hopes their ordeal won't be any harder than necessary."
Ask her about those two friends and with a smile she quickly adds, "they came through it okay -- and let the rest of us know just what special friends they consider us to be!"
