I have just had the pleasure of reading Cheryl Bruder's third book Out of the Blue. An easy and enjoyable read that took me back to working with my horse Maxx - when he was an unruly, untrained, brat - very much like Mousse in Cheryl's story. Just like Cheryl, at the time I knew nothing about training a horse and learned what I could from whoever I could and through trial and error. The biggest part of her book that struck home was her learning to 'speak horse'. Tried and true it worked for her as it did for me.

Cheryl's book is not a training manual, it is a very well-put-together novel involving love, tragedy and a great horse story! Cheryl's ability to draw you into the story made it difficult to put the book down. As in My Mezeppa, another book by this author, the love and tragedy come through with a happy ending for all.
