Shadows Walking, a novel based on my archival research on medical "ethics" in Nazi Germany, is now available as an eBook (Kindle) on amazon.com
Shadows Walking, my novel about two physicians, one a German Protestant and the other a German Jew, describes their respective careers as physicians in Germany under Hitler. When they meet for the last time at Auschwitz, Johann Brenner begins to see the impact of his lack of compassion and its consequences.
Based on extensive archival evidence found in German and British archives, my novel was painful to write and will be painful to read. Everything in Shadows Walking either happened, or could have happened, exactly as I have described it. Nonetheless, I hope you will find it worthwhile.
From today, November 4, until November 11, 2013 at midnight, please go to amazon.com, where you can find Shadows Walking at the low price of $.99. After November 11, the price returns to $3.99.
A novel about a family during World War II, set on the homefront in Springield, Mass., and in the South Pacific. The book focuses on four characters and how their lives were affected and changed during the war years.
