Last night, I pressed publish.

My second book in the LGBT family is now available on Kindle (and in Kindle Unlimited). 

It's a work that is close to me, not that I am gay myself but I am a strong supporter of anyone who wishes to be accepted for who they are. This gypsy tale is close to me because it is set in Sussex, (Redford / Midhurst) where my family come from. Set in 1953, I have a teenager character who is a woodsman on the common, just as my Grandfather was. Much of the story was actually written while I sat, parked on the edge of the common.

The main character is Mickey, an eighteen year old, man's man. Outwardly, he is everything any gypsy could wish to be. The fact he is secretly gay is the struggle of the story as he falls for the teenage woodsman and yet, in his way, he also loves Rosa, the fiery girl he has been promised to for years.

As characters go, you want all of them to be happy and content and even when Rosa discovers Mickey's secret, she fights for him in such a way you can't hate her no matter how much she deserves it.

This is my fifth book I've published but this is the first I have truly struggled to walk away from at the end. I don't plan to revisit the story with a sequel but in my mind, the story goes on.
