Freedom's Light: A Rob and Tex Adventure by Robert J. Saniscalchi Team Golfwell's review 6/11/20 I enjoyed reading “Freedom's Light: A Rob and Tex adventure” by Robert Saniscalchi, and in my opinion, this author writes an exceptionally exciting story with intensity, courage which accurately portrays the talented and well-trained men of the American military. I enjoy reading realistic and true to life accounts of fighting terrorism. This brilliant story reveals how difficult it is to fight deadly enemies especially those which are extremely hard to find and destroy. I also enjoy reading a fast-paced story that puts the reader right into the excitement of the scene. For example, here is a brief excerpt, The light changed from red to green, and the huge bay doors slowly swung open. Rob was the first out, with the rest plummeting behind him, in quick succession. Once they were clear of the aircraft, the team gradually began to move into a V formation. Rob could feel his senses heightening, as the excitement and weightlessness of freefall came over him. Downward they streaked, through the clouds and toward their intended target, on hostile, foreign soil. At a predetermined altitude, Rob’s G.P.S. unit began flashing. He gave the signal to his comrades and pulled his cord. His chute blew open and, for a brief moment, he felt a strong pull upward, as he was yanked from his trajectory by the power of the expanding parachute. Parachutes now deployed, the team began to slowly drift, toward the target below them. I especially enjoy stories that test the level of human endurance, will power and determination, and good men struggling at all costs for the sake of others. I enjoyed reading this well planned out story crafted by this extremely talented author who weaves the tale excellently all leading to an extremely exciting ending. I feel this book should be read by all who may be interested in joining the military as well as those who are presently in and those who are retired from the military who served American in a special selfless way. The book teaches the young reader on how to become a man and turn their thinking away from themselves toward helping others and destroying those who want more than anything to destroy you and your loved ones. All in all, I liked this book very much and this great author has done an excellent job portraying what it is really like to serve your country and I believe anyone who likes adventure, action, drama, and an excellent ending to a story will enjoy this book very much.
