The United States lost the "police action" in Vietnam and then the long war in Afghanistan. The nation suffers civil strife and the coronavirus pandemic panic. Nearly half the people are sick and tired of the totalitarian grip of democratic socialism, wherefore they deny fact with fancy, romantically hoping for release from the stagnant status quo.  

Open rebellion has already threatened the ruling elite. An economic depression could once again make revolution possible if not probable. The solution to that possibility before was world war. Will the United States be confronted yet again on both flanks? Perhaps not, perhaps the greatest threat will arise from terrorism within and without.

This book comprises my observations of the continuing inner and outer jihad, the spiritual and material struggle that may bring the U.S. even closer to the "Final Day" predicted by Islamists. That "Doomsday" brought about by the All Mighty Dom was said to occur at the "Iron Gate," perhaps located in or near Afghanistan.
