I admit I'm late coming to it, but I've started. There are many arguments in favor of spoken word, poetry readings, and author readings-all of which we all are aware of. But I didn't know, and only now have found out, how easy it is and how effective voiced poetry is.
The next best thing is that it is essentially free-in the idea that if you are reading this news item you already have the ability to do it yourself for free.
Today I put audio and video files on the page containing my most popular poem, "Mother's death." Over the next few days I will put up audio and video on an other dozen poem pages. After that I will work on putting audio on every poetry page I have, 116 at the moment.
I hope and expect others will also join in putting audio and video on their poetry pages. A previous article of mine explains about doing video. I will be putting up a article on doing audio. It is much easier than video.
