She slapped my hand, stinging it, forcing the beam of my falshlight to arc down. Move!" she whispered, propelling me with surprising speed into the next room. "Quickly!"
Feeling my heart skip a beat, I stiffened. "Something's up there, isn't it?
Emily nodded, her curls bobbing against my head as she leaned closer to me, pushing me further into the dark, empty room.
"It's not human, is it?"
She shook her head, facing me with a worried look.
"It's a ghost, right?"
She nodded. "But more than just one, Jessica. They're several of them, judging from the amount of energy I feel. And one of them in particular is very interested in your life force. If my instinct are right, its someone who died long before they were ready and who hopes now to regain life ... by inserting itself into your body."
