Burt's Odd Lot is ForeWord Award Honorable Mention for Best Horror Book 2001

When the ForeWord Awards were presented at Book Expo America in NYC on May 4, Steve Burt's collection, Odd Lot: Stories to Chill the Heart, won the Honorable Mention for Best Horror Book 2001. On Wednseday the same book won the silver Benjamin Franklin Award in the Mystery/Suspense category. The two-genre-straddling collection includes ghost stories and psychic mysteries. Six of the nine stories had already been named Honorable Mentions in Year's Best Fantasy & Horror.

Another of Burt's titles, A Christmas Dozen: Christmas Stories to Warm the Heart, was a finalist (one of nine) for ForeWord's AudioBook of the Year. Other winners listed at www.forewordmagazine.com and pma-online.com. Burt's website is www.burtcreations.com.
