Connecticut author Steve Burt's collection of New England ghost stories and paranormal mysteries, Odd Lot: Stories to Chill the Heart, has made the 2003 Poisoned Pen list along with such notables as Sue Grafton, Tony Hillerman, and James Lee Burke. The list is comprised of award-winning books of interest to mystery/suspense readers. Odd Lot had won the silver 2002 Benjamin Franklin Award for Best Mystery/Suspense Book of 2001. It also won ForeWord Magazine's Sole Honorable Mention for Year's Best Horror Book.
