On January 31^st, Phillip E. Hardy’s screenplay Once Upon A Time In LA won a gold medal for best thriller at the Beverly Hills Screenplay contest. During the month of January, his screenplay Within These Walls, The Angela Davis Story was chosen as an official selection at the Richmond International Film Festival. Additionally, his screenplay called The Willing was a finalist with honorable mention at the 2013 Creative Scope Awards and was also a quarter finalist at the 2013 Screencraft Action/Thriller Contest. His scripts The Immortal Jack the Ripper and Pascal’s Coming were quarter-finalists at Screencraft. Pascal’s Coming was also a semi-finalist at 2013 Screenplay Festival and Within These Walls, The Angela Davis Story made the quarter final round of the Filmmaker’s International Screenplay Awards. In March, Phillip will be competing for the Grand Jury Prize at Richmond International Film Festival and will also be competing in several other major competitions including the Page Awards, Austin Film Festival, where he was a 2013 Second Round finalist and The British International Film Awards.
