The reason I was away for so long is because of illness...a life threatening  illness actually.  On August 27th I was rushed to the hospital and upon arrrival I was termned to be in serious (very nearly critical condition).  I was not able to walk and did not have feeling or muscle control in my upper body.  After five days in the hospital I was allowed to come home but came to stay with my daughter and her family until I felt I was well enough to return home and live alone again.  I have had to make many adjustments in my life.  It took  some time for me to find my way to write once more.  I was but a few minutes from death as the doctors told me in the ER.  I frightened my children and I will admit, so was I.  I am now well into my recoverybut you may see a different slant to some of my poetry.  To see I am grateful for my second chance at life and living it.  When asked what I wanted for Christmas this year my answer was quick... NOTHING. I AM ALIVE!  I needed nothing else. It is good to be back but if I do not comment as much or thank you for comments., I apologize.  I cannot be at the computer as often due to my eye condition and also my recouperation.. Thank you to all who have welcomed me back so warmly.
