News! News! News!

First of all.. on July 17th I welcomed my fifth grandchild into my world.. a wee girl, Jillian Grace, born to my son Joe and his wife Christi.  She joins two sisters, Allie and Alexa. She is a cutie pie!

On the poetry front.. Some of you may remember my posting a poem some time ago called 'Truths' and sharing the story of how a band from NYC stumbled across it on the internet and contacted me about using the first few stanzas as an intro to a track on their CD.  Well on July 23rd I got to meet them all and attend a local show.  They dedicated that song to me and I got to hear them perform it live.. gotta tell you guys. THAT WAS COOL!

And now for the last news...lol.. I am going to a reunion of all graduating classes at the Louisiana School for the Blind next weekend.  I haven't seen most of the kids I went to school with in almost 40 years!  I'm looking forward to this so much...
