This morning I discovered that my website domain had expired after my last multi-year contract. It was held by a Australian IT company and they wanted a ransom for me to renew it.

I contacted my local host and they had a much more reasonable offer, so I transferred the domain to Texas where it belongs. I originally opened the domain with Yahoo but apparently it got sold somewhere along the line.

The bad news is that the transfer will take up to five days, so if you go to my website, you will probably see that my domain has expired until about November 7 or so, when it will come back online.

I hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience for anyone.
