I just finished watching this 2011 film about stem cell research. It is one hour and 11 minutes long and a bit scientific, but quite exciting in what it promises.

In 2010, I was fortunate enough to meet Irving L Weissman, featured in the film and director of Stanford's Center for Stem Cell Research. After viewing my paralysis was a result of only an incomplete spinal cord injury, he told me that I was a prime candidate for stem cell therapy.

Weissman told me to wait until the procedure was proven with over 100 patients before trying to undergo it myself. There have been a number of scam artists in other countries particularly, that have claimed stem cell therapies that don't work.
