I had been procrastinating about getting the second booster, thinking I could wait until September or October when things were cooler and I could get out and get it with my flu shot. My twin got his right away.
On July 3, my partner/caregiver came home with a slight fever, by the morning of the 4th I had one, too. At first, the symptoms didn't seem to match COVID-19, so we assumed it was just a cold or a flu like I had about six months ago. She couldn't find our test kit and the last thing I wanted to do was go somewhere to get tested.
Finally, yesterday morning the 6th, she found the kit. We both tested positive. My temperature remains low--below normal this morning 96.9°, and occasionally, I feel quite good. But my autonomic dysreflexia combined with the congestion from COVID-19 is giving me sinus headaches and higher blood pressure sometimes. Making it difficult to sleep at times and hard for me to write this.
I've had to postpone a new story, Fateful, ironically because of this fateful situation. ;-)
Hope to be back to par soon.
