In her new novel, A Call to Mind, Cherry instructs her readers on her theory of ancestral repetitive memories being passed down through genes. The lesson is taught in a fictional tale of deception among several characters set in Florida.
"I always rack my brain for something original," Cherry, said. "I love to develop new ideas for stories."
To write the book, Cherry extensively researched the science of genetics.
"I'm not disregarding free will, which is adaptation to the environment," she said. "I think ancestral memory is a suggestive destiny."
Cherry is currently writing a third book, a historic novel. She isn't taking a break between books because she is eager to express her ideas to an audience.
"I want the public to decide whether I should keep writing," she said.
