Laraine Elizabeth Turner, author, composer and magnet teacher, will be profiled in the 2005 edition of Marquis'' "Who''s Who of America, which will be available this October. She is the author of "The Rise and Fall of the Witch on the Bayou" and has composed several songs, all directly related to her books.
Turner has just announced also that she will be featured in the 2006 edition of "Who''s Who of American Women." She also will be in the 25th Silver Anniversary Edition of "Who''s Who of American Women," scheduled for publication in November 2005.
Author-composer Laraine Elizabeth Turner of Downey has been selected to be included in a biographical directory published by Marquis' Who's Who, the leading biographical reference publisher of the highest achievers and contributors from across the country and around the world.
Turner, a Grade 3 drama teacher, will be profiled in the 2005 edition of Who's Who in America, which will be available in October, 2004. She is the author of the action-thriller, "The Rise and Fall of the Witch on the Bayou," and has completed a successful "Bayou Book Tour" in 2002 in Louisiana, where her debut book is set. While there, she appeared on TV news shows and did book signings in major cities like Baton Rouge and New Orleans. She also has composed several songs, all directly related to the books she's written, such as "Song of the Bayou" ("Chanson du Bayou"), "Poor Li'l Baby," and "The River of Life."
She is scheduled to do a book signing at Borders Books, Music & Cafe in Rolling Hills, California, this October.
