Suburbanite John Kolzig tries to adapt to life after a disastrous presidential election, but he finds that his only hope of escape is a modern underground railroad to freedom in Vermont.
Written nearly 20 years ago, and offering a glimpse of America in the early 21st century, Burning Books on Fenwick Street has been serialized for the first time on Facebook. Life goes on in Kolzig's neighborhood, but it is a life of suspicion and surveillance. Neighbors are deported, books are burned in the churchyard, and John has fallen in love with the wrong woman.
Burning Books on Fenwick Street is available for free on Facebook. One to two chapters (of 21) will be posted each week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays, from August through the first week of November, 2016.
Burning Books on Fenwick Street is also available from most major retailers in trade paperback or as an e-book.
