Below you can follow links to articles about the publication of two important Victorian print-based literary anthologies - ''Painted Words 6'', co-edited by Peter Wiseman, Dr Ian Irvine and Dr Tom McWilliam and featuring fiction, poetry and non-fiction by PWE students from Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE, and ''Landlines'' edited by Dr Sue Gillett and published by Melbourne Poets Union and featuring work by various regional Victorian poets. The release of the two anthologies symbolises the wealth of creative talent currently working outside the Melbourne metropolitan area.
''Painted Words'', the journal Ian co-edits, is now into its sixth year of publication. Many contributors published in the past have gone on to build successful writing careers - whether in creative writing, publishing or non-fiction/journalism.
