As anyone who has read my bio knows, aside from writing, reading is my biggest passion. So I decided to launch a book club for women in the DC Metro area.
Phenomenal Woman Book & Social Club
With the summer passing, we are back into session and currently looking for new members in the DC Metro Area. These are just a few of the benefits of becoming a "Phenomenal Woman"
. No club dues!!!! This was one of the biggest problems I encountered when searching for a club to join before launching "PWBSC". Why do i have to pay a fee to discuss my views on books? Conversation is supposed to be free is what I always thought. And here at "PWBSC" it still is.
. Host Months for each individual. This way everyone gets to take part in the group.
. The Host picks the selection of the month. This way everyone has a chance to introduce us to something new
. Coming together for more than just Books. Here at "PWBSC" we are so much more than just a book club. I like to think that we are friends first & foremost. So we do get together outside of reading and discussing books. There are "girlz nights out", birthday celebrations, trips, and I am currently looking into charity work for our group (I have been blessed, and love to pass the blessings on anyway I can)
So if you are in the DC metro area, Have a love of African American Literature and are looking to widen your social circle..... then we are looking for you.
