Lovelock and Gaia Reappraised

I was criticised by some colleagues in reviews of my book, Darwin's Blind Spot, for supporting some of the ideas of James Lovelock and his Gaia theory. I'm pleased to see that he is receiving major recognition these days, including the Natural History Museum in London.
Aged 94, he has produced a new book, A Rough Ride to the Future, that is somewhat sceptical about the projection of climate models. There's a good review in today's London Times (Saturday April 5) by Matt Ridley, under the title "An eco-visionary repents".
I'm very critical myself of the rampant nonsense that results from people becoming addicts to the green/eco revolution, with their light bulbs that cost a fortune and don't last a week and the ugly monstrosities that pepper the countryside. I think we need Lovelock as a Don Quixote to topple them down.
The book should make for interesting reading.
