What U Do
The beat of my heart quickly gets erratic
My nerves go crazy, my senses get spastic
My thoughts can’t focus; don’t
Think that I don’t try and I know you
Know why.
This is what u do 2 me
Each and every time.
I can barely have a meaningful
Conversation unless we’re on the phone.
I can barely
Look you in the eyes when we are alone.
U say all I want from you
Is 2 jump your bones
and I know you
Know why.

I spend hours on end daydreaming about fluff.
I have sweet dreams every night
about more than hot stuff.
U fear I’ll get tired of you
when I just can’t get enough
and I know U know why.

When I think i’ve gained control
i seem 2 lose it all again
I’m like a record stuck on a scratch
I’m in battle i can’t win besides
I wouldn’t stand a chance and I know U know why.

As time goes by the feelings grow and grow
The more that I try to rein them in the more
The feelings show,

When I present this poem 2 U,
i want U to take your hand
Place it over my heart and then you’ll understand
When u feel the thumping beat
underneath your hand
I can’t contain my feelings
