Author of Pope Joan, Donna Woolfolk Cross, reviews pre-publication copy of Music from the Soul: The Singing Nun Story.
On Sepember 26, 2004 D.A. Chadwick attended a talk given by Donna Woolfolk Cross, author of the very successful historical novel, Pope Joan. Ms. Cross gave a fascinating account of her research for the book and signed copies afterwards.
Donna Woolfolk Cross had twice written to Ms. Chadwick encouraging her to keep writing and follow the dream. In another show of support for emerging writers, Ms Cross took a copy of Music from the Soul: The Singing Nun Story back to New York with her. She had this to say,
"....it reads very well--such good research and such passion for the subject! Good for you!!"
Ms. Cross is now consulting on a movie based on Pope Joan and working on an exciting new historical novel located in France. She still takes the time to support emerging writers and Ms. Chadwick plans to follow that example in the future.
