Recently I was asked this question. Until now, the dominant theme in my work has been love and all its passions, mostly inspired by my partner. My poet has flourished in the rich inspiration that she gives, filling my heart with so much emotion that at times it feels like my heart is going to explode. I love her and I love sharing that with the world. There is no doubt about that.

However, as I grow into into my writer's quill, I am allowing more of what I have written,and have been wanting to write, see the light of day. One of the great interests in my life has been folklore, folktales, ghost stories, and the macabre. I enjoy the things that go bump in the night. Halloween is equally as fantastic to me as Christmas. Must be that religious upbringing - Heaven and Hell, God and the Devil, good and evil, and all that supernatural jazz intrigues me.

While I just started writing vampire themed poetry, I started work on "Teeth Bite: The Mestizo Vein" after a dream I had several years ago. I have put several years of research, study, and imagination into what I feel will be enjoyable to both the seasoned vampire fan and those who wouldn't necessarily consider giving the genre a second glance. Included are significant historical, philosophical, and religious proposals worth consideration. I tried to write an intellect's vampire story ... Quite ambitious and arrogant of me, I'm sure, but for what it's worth, if I never publish another novel, I will feel accomplished. I believe in this work that much. I look forward to the opportunity to share it with you.
